3D Environment Artist (Remote) – 3877 Los Angeles CA
Our client is an early-stage venture gaming studio that is building a title from scratch that offers a unique take on a classic ARPG. They’ve recently received a second round of funding and are currently working on their Vertical Slice. They are looking for passionate gaming professionals who would enjoy the challenge of building a game from scratch
What You Will Be Doing
- Model objects, bake textures, export/import assets, apply materials, and assemble environments
- Start and participate in technical and aesthetic problem-solving discussions
- Integrate assets into Unreal Engine to set-dress and enrich areas
- Collaborate with the Art Director and Designers to guarantee the visual target is met or exceeded
What You Will Need
- Strong experience with Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Designer & Painter, with emphasis on highly realistic in-game results
- 3+ years in the game industry with at least one shipped title
- Strong high and low poly modeling skills, with demonstrated skill in quality baking of textures
- Awareness of architecture, engineering fundamentals, PBR materials and lighting
- Ability to skillfully world build; terrain sculpting, painting, prop/vegetation placement, and set dressing
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong concept development skills
