Our client is a leading engineering firm that specializes in materiel testing, civil engineering, and other exciting fields   

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage, guide, instruct, and track materials testing technicians and laboratory workers
  • Organize and monitor a daily testing schedule for prompt coverage
  • Evaluate test & distribute results
  • Discuss laboratory testing services with management, field staff, and clients
  • Create laboratory test reports and communicate the test findings to the relevant CQC system manager through test reports, while keeping track of the test results through charts and tables
  • Keep an organized and clean laboratory environment
  • Handle daily operations of all laboratory activities and the activities of the field technicians

 

What You Will Need

  • 5+ years’ experience in duties described above and/or equivalent combination of experience and technical training or apprenticeship program
  • Experience with ASTM standards, AASHTO and USACE documentation
  • ACI, TxDOT and/or NICET Level 1 certification required
  • Minimum ACI Certifications: Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1 Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade 1 Concrete Strength Testing Technician Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1 NICET & ICC certifications recommended
  • Able to climb and maintain balance for long periods of time as well as use hands and arms fully; stand, kneel, bend, crawl, or crouch for long periods; and good eyesight (naturally or with correction)
