Our client is an early-stage venture gaming studio that is building a title from scratch that offers a unique take on a classic ARPG. They’ve recently received a second round of funding and are currently working on their Vertical Slice. They are looking for passionate gaming professionals who would enjoy the challenge of building a game from scratch
What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate with design, art, and engineering teams to fully-realize the game’s vision
- Build and implement new gameplay systems
- Ensure all gameplay systems work in a multiplayer environment through collaboration with other game engineers
- Enhance RPCs and reproduction techniques to prevent rubber-banding and minimize latency
- Contribute to technical development guidelines for working within network constraints
- Propose and implement solutions to mitigate cheating and other unwanted behaviors
What You Will Need
- Must have shipped one game
- 4+ years of experience in game programming
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 in a multiplayer setting
- Experience writing networked multiplayer in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with multithreaded programming
- Highly proficient in C / C++
- Capacity to identify and resolve problems rapidly and without managerial oversight
Nice to Have
- Architecture experience
- AAA game development experience
