Platform Lead/Architect (Remote) – 4442

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop a scalable data abstraction layer for ingesting, validating, and transforming diverse datasets (LiDAR, GIS, CAD, Shapefiles, 3D models).
• Define integration protocols for seamless communication between key components:
  • ETL pipelines for data processing
  • Backend services for estimation logic and compliance verification
  • 2D/3D visualization APIs for real-time rendering and interaction
• Ensure the architecture supports low-latency, high-availability, and real-time operations.
• Infrastructure & System Integration
• Design and implement event-driven microservices for critical functions like cost escalation, risk assessment, and compliance validation.
• Lead API development for internal and external integrations:
  • Spatial data and cost overlay queries
  • Real-time compliance validation
  • Asset metadata and digital twin management
• Establish data pipelines for historical pricing trends, market inflators, and real-time cost adjustments.
• Oversee DevOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines for microservices and ETL processes.
• Collaboration & Leadership
• Work closely with the Digital Twin and Spatial Computing teams to ensure precise data integration into 2D/3D environments.
• Collaborate with the Estimation Suite team to align cost calculations and escalation logic with business and audit standards.
• Coordinate with partner teams for seamless integration, user management, and infrastructure alignment.
• Security & Compliance
• Enforce security best practices for API communication and data governance.
• Ensure platform adherence to client, federal, and state regulations for data storage and access control.  

What You Will Need

• Proficient in AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, EC2) or equivalent services.
• Skilled in designing and deploying event-driven, containerized architectures.
• Extensive experience with GraphQL and REST for complex backend systems.
• Strong background in ETL pipelines, real-time data handling, and spatial datasets (LiDAR, GIS).
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Experienced with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) solutions.
• Knowledgeable in Unreal Engine, Revit, CAD formats, and 3D data workflows.

Nice to Have

• 8+ years in platform architecture, infrastructure design, or backend engineering.
• Background in complex, multi-system environments, preferably involving spatial computing or real-time visualization.
• Deep expertise in service interdependencies and data flow optimization.
• Skilled in guiding teams, translating business needs into technical solutions, and driving timely execution.
