What You Will Be Doing

  • Establish and propel the strategic vision for engineering services focused on productivity, quality, and DevOps.
  • Partner with senior leadership to synchronize engineering services with organizational goals.
  • Shape and direct the organization’s architectural vision.
  • Create and uphold resilient, scalable, and high-performance architectures for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure architectural coherence across various projects and teams.
  • Spearhead the design of systems and tools to boost developer efficiency and software quality.
  • Investigate emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Lead efforts to assess and adopt new technologies and tools that improve productivity, quality, and DevOps capabilities.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the development workflow to enhance efficiency.
  • Promote and support tools and methodologies that increase developer productivity, such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams on best practices and architectural standards.
  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to mentor and nurture technical talent; adept problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years in an architectural capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in directing large-scale architectural initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Strong grasp of SDLC, engineering productivity, and software quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Strategic thinker with robust business insight.
  • Driven to implement change and enhance engineering practices.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Eager to learn and keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments.
