Senior Data Engineer, Big Data – Hadoop (Remote) – 3987 Los Angeles CA
What You Will Be Doing
- Build and contribute to a Data Platform that will enable improved analytics and reporting
- Translate business requirements into data models that are easy to understand and used by different disciplines across the company
- Work with data analysts to collect insight on possible data collection efficiencies and identify automation potential for manual workflows
- Integrate data from multiple databases across different platforms
- Design, implement and build pipelines that deliver data with measurable quality
What You Will Need
- Experience with Java/Scala
- Experience with the Hadoop library
- An understanding of Snowflake, Spark, Airflow, or Kinesis
Nice to Have
- Apache Storm, Apache Kafka, or Apache Nifi experience
- Experience with Flink, Cassandra, MariaDB, and Elasticsearch
- Experience with a technology like Redis, Redshift, Athena, Big Query, DBT, or Presto
