Senior Rust Engineer (Remote) – 4100 Remote
What You Will Be Doing
- Design, develop and maintain Rust-based systems, APIs, and libraries
- Write clean, maintainable, and performant Rust code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for Rust-based systems and libraries
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor other developers
- Stay up-to-date with Rust and related technologies and share knowledge with the team
- Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of Rust-based systems
- Identify and fix bugs and performance issues in Rust-based systems
- Write automated tests and participate in manual testing to ensure high-quality software
- Work in an agile development environment with frequent releases and continuous delivery
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with Rust and its ecosystem, including Cargo, Rust macros, and the Rust standard library
- Experience with system-level programming, including working with sockets, file systems, and low-level APIs
- Experience with asynchronous programming and multithreaded programming in Rust
- Experience with databases and data structures
- Experience with modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Open-source contributions in the Rust ecosystem
