Job Title: Systems Administrator

As a Senior Infrastructure Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting enterprise network and technology infrastructure across a multi-site environment. This role focuses on ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network operations — including support for public safety systems — and provides technical leadership in the design, implementation, and support of complex IT systems.
This position is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong networking and troubleshooting experience, a proactive approach to system health, and the ability to support both end users and mission-critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain mobile computing hardware deployed in field vehicles, including public safety units
- Maintain physical network infrastructure including server rack management, UPS systems, and structured cabling across multiple facilities
- Troubleshoot advanced workstation issues including complex software conflicts, hardware failures, and network connectivity problems
- Administer enterprise collaboration and identity platforms, including license management, email routing, distribution lists, and SSO integrations
- Build and maintain standard system images for new hire provisioning and hardware refresh cycles
- Support physical security systems including IP cameras and badge access door controllers across city facilities
- Diagnose and resolve WAN/LAN connectivity issues across distributed sites including wireless access points, switch ports, and ethernet infrastructure
- Manage mobile device fleet using MDM software, including security updates, remote wipe, and data segregation on mobile hardware
- Monitor and verify daily backup logs to ensure successful protection of critical organizational data
- Coordinate and escort external vendors such as ISPs and cabling contractors, ensuring work meets organizational standards and safety protocols
Education & Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressively responsible experience providing technical support across computer applications, local area networks, and/or mid-range computer systems
- Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, network troubleshooting, and infrastructure support
- Experience with enterprise platforms including email systems, SSO/identity management, and endpoint management tools
- Hands-on experience with server hardware, UPS systems, and structured cabling
- Proficiency with MDM platforms for managing mobile devices at scale
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting public safety or other mission-critical technology environments
- Familiarity with IP-based physical security systems (cameras, access control)
- Experience working in government or regulated environments
- Exposure to backup and disaster recovery systems and procedures
- Experience imaging and deploying endpoints at scale
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Standard schedule: Monday–Thursday with alternating Fridays; some assignments may fall outside standard hours
- On-call rotation required to support 24/7 operations
- Fully on-site; no hybrid or remote work available
