    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead enterprise data strategy across data architecture, engineering, governance, analytics, and business intelligence
    • Oversee and evolve the GIS program as a strategic capability supporting operational and planning initiatives
    • Design and operate modern enterprise data platforms, including pipelines, integration frameworks, and analytics environments
    • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical models that support executive decision-making
    • Establish enterprise standards for data governance, data quality, metadata management, and responsible data use
    • Partner cross-functionally with leadership to identify opportunities to improve operations through analytics and spatial insights
    • Lead initiatives integrating data across multiple systems (financial, asset, operational, etc.) to drive performance improvement
    • Manage and mentor a team delivering analytics, data engineering, and geospatial capabilities
    • Collaborate with IT on infrastructure, security, and system integration supporting analytics platforms
    • Manage vendor relationships supporting analytics, BI, and GIS technologies
    • Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making practices across the organization

     

    Education & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, GIS, or related field
    • 8+ years of management experience in data analytics, BI, data engineering, or similar environments
    • Experience designing or operating modern enterprise data platforms (data pipelines, integration frameworks, analytics platforms)
    • Experience working with and managing geospatial data and GIS
    • Experience with modern Microsoft data platforms or comparable enterprise analytics technologies
    • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, integration, and analytics frameworks
    • Executive-level communication skills with ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Proven ability to operate in complex, multi-system environments and drive outcomes
    • Experience integrating data across multiple enterprise systems
    • Exposure to large, structured, or regulated environments
    • Experience establishing enterprise data governance frameworks
    • Experience leading cross-functional analytics or data transformation initiatives

     

    Preferred Experience

    • Professional certifications in data analytics, GIS, cloud platforms, or data management
    • Government or Municipality experience
