Job Title: Senior Virtualization Software Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and document end-to-end software systems supporting global connectivity and entertainment products.

Design solutions that decompose complex technical and business problems into scalable, maintainable systems.

Define and enforce software architecture standards, including functional and non-functional requirements.

Create reusable frameworks and architectural patterns to reduce cost, complexity, and technical debt.

Guide and mentor engineering teams through architectural decisions and implementation best practices.

Collaborate with product and business leaders to shape technical strategy, product roadmaps, and modernization initiatives.

Evaluate emerging technologies, build proof-of-concepts, and drive adoption of best practices in infrastructure design.

Serve as a technical authority on Linux, Kubernetes, virtualization, and distributed systems.

Support hardware and systems engineering teams to align onboard hardware capabilities with future digital products.
Education & Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of experience designing and implementing complex infrastructure and software platforms in bare metal and cloud environments.

Strong background in distributed system design using Java, C++, or Go.

Deep expertise in Linux systems, networking, storage, and Kubernetes-based orchestration.

Proven experience implementing virtualization technologies such as LXC, QNX, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Skilled in container network (CNI) and storage (CSI) technologies such as Calico, Cilium, Ceph, and Longhorn.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps frameworks (GitLab, Helm, ArgoCD, Prometheus).
-
Familiarity with large-scale cluster management (Rancher, Portainer, Rafay) and operator development.
-
Experience designing and maintaining systems for high availability, scalability, and secure data transmission.

Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to lead architecture discussions and deliver clear design blueprints.
Preferred Experience:

Industry background in Aviation, Automotive, IoT, or Cloud-native infrastructure.

Experience with OTA (over-the-air) distribution systems.

Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure.

Understanding of microservices, service mesh, and distributed data architectures.

Agile/Scrum or SAFe development experience.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $190,000 – $220,000 (depending on experience)

Bonus: Up to 10–15% annual performance bonus
