As a Senior Staff Software Engineer in NYC, Seattle, or Los Angeles, you’ll help architect and build core systems from the ground up, mentor fellow engineers, and shape the direction of a product redefining how people and businesses move through the world. Key Responsibilities:

Drive technical direction through architecture, system design, and long-term roadmap decisions

Define best practices balancing reliability, scalability, and speed of iteration

Improve developer experience, workflows, and tools to maximize team productivity

Lead technical discussions, coach engineers, and support team growth through hiring and mentorship

Deliver large-scale, high-availability solutions that create meaningful advantages for customers

Collaborate with product and external partners to build seamless integrations
Education & Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

10+ years of professional software engineering experience

6+ years building customer-centric applications and products

Strong expertise in Scala, TypeScript, React, or similar languages/frameworks

Proven success designing and scaling distributed systems

Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and related technologies

Experience with database technologies, especially MySQL and PostgreSQL

Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Experience:

Background in innovative, high-growth technology environments

Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Datadog)

Exposure to AI-enabled developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
